Immerse yourself this summer into learning and exploring different compositions of Carnatic classical music. This 12 session course is exclusively designed for students who have a background in learning classical music and will use that as a foundation to learning slightly more advanced compositional forms ina fun & engaging manner.

The students will be taught to create simple alankaar patterns along with understanding the concept of the sapta tala alankaras. Along with this, the student will learn a shloka, a bhajan, a sankeerthana and a patriotic song, exposing the students to different ragas and talas.

  

Objectives

Student will -

1. Understand the swara positions and get command over swara patterns singing

2. Learn different compositional forms in varied ragas

3. Understand the significance and stucture of each composition along with the meaning

4. Performance oriented classes - learn to develope and polish performing skills
