Chief Guest for SANGAM 2019 - Vidushi Kaushiki Chakraborty

Vidushi Kaushiki Chakraborty is an Indian classical vocalist and the daughter of Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty and Chandana Chakraborty. Groomed at Sangeet Research Academy, Kaushiki belongs to the Patiala Gharana and her singing repertoire covers Khayals and Thumris. She has been the recipient of many national and international awards including the BBC World Music Award (2005),  Sangeet Natak Academy Award (2012), GIMA Awards (2012), Mirchi Music Award (2012) for "Best female vocalist" and "Album of the Year " and many more. 
She is known for her work in Kutti Puli (2013), Mirzya (2016) and Water (2005). She has performed at many national and international festivals and conferences.

Terms and Conditions

  1. SANGAM 2019 would be held on August 9 and 10, 2019. Rehearsals and events on August 9 would be held at Hotel Ajantha. The event on August 10, 2019 would be held at “The Odeum”, Canadian International School.
  2. SANGAM 2019 is open to all Academy students and guests to attend.
  3. Students would be required to sign up for rehearsal classes in order to participate and perform in SANGAM 2019. SANGAM 2019 performances are open to Academy students only.
  4. Only students enrolled in rehearsals before June 3rd 3:00 p.m. IST would be considered for participation at SANGAM 2019. Students enrolling after this date would be selected for an audition if they have completed 6 or more instructor-led courses with the Academy.
  5. No registration fee for kids aged 6 years and below.
  6. Registration fee is non-refundable.Registration is not transferable and cannot be exchanged.
  7. The participants and guests would be responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation at their own expense. The Academy would suggest nearby places to stay but would not be responsible for booking or providing accommodation
  8. The Academy reserves the right to use any photographs/videos/sound recordings provided by you or collected  during SANGAM 2019 as promotional material. Please read our Privacy Policy for further information.
  9. These terms and conditions are subject to change from time to time without notice and in our sole discretion. We will notify you of amendments to these terms and conditions by posting them to this website.
  10. The Academy reserves the right to refuse or reject your entry from the event. In particular but without limitation you may be refused admission to or removed from the event for any of the following reasons: for health and safety or licensing reasons; behave in a manner which has or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other persons at the event; use threatening, abusive or insulting words or mannerisms; if, in the Academy's reasonable opinion, you are acting under the influence of alcohol or drugs; if and when required, you are unable to produce proof of identity or age; refuse to comply with the Promoter’s security searches; breach these Terms; and/or your registration is void.
